Team Rules
Joining the Plain City Sharks is a great way to improve swimming skills, make new friends and have fun! We cheer on all levels of swimmers! To be eligible for our team, swimmers ages 5-8 must be able to swim 25 meters unassisted, and 9 and up must be able to swim 50 meters unassisted.
We will be competing in the N.E.W. (North, East, West) League. Please note many of the rules are set forth by the league.
*Parents must declare eligibility for their swimmer(s) for each meet. This can be done on our website and we will help you if you have any questions! Please note that if swimmers are not declared YES for meets, they will not be entered into events for that meet.
*Please do not leave a meet until you have talked with a coach first! Your swimmer may still be needed for a relay.
*Pool rules are always in effect for swim practices and meets.
*Siblings/ non-participants may not enter the pool during practices or meets. We know it can get hot - at practices and home meets our splash pad is available for use. Please assume baby pools at other pools are not available for use during meets.
*Parents may not stand on the pool deck (area behind the blocks) at anytime during meets. But timers can - so please sign up to time for the best view at the pool!
